How to Get Empowered From Daily Affirmations

Those who live life day by day may not think about how their thoughts and actions can affect them day-to-day. Especially when dealing with stress, negative thoughts may easily creep in. However, what if the thing that is holding you back from being empowered is how you are mentally talking to yourself?

What positive affirmation would you write?

A person’s perception of you that is negative or positive can be a powerful force, but it is up to you to accept or reject their comments and start believing and repeating their ideas. We are often our own worst critics, but only you have the power to control how you feel – despite what some people may believe.

How to Become Empowered with Positive Affirmations

It’s not too late to make a change and start feeling empowered through positive daily affirmations. What exactly is a positive affirmation? As described by Mind Tool:

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often and believe in them, you can start to make those positive changes.

As I explain in my book, Exuberant Women Don’t Age, “You do not need to experience a crisis in order to pull your life together for enduring love and complete healing. Yet often that is the only thing that will get your undivided attention.”

Jack Canfield recommended flooding your subconsciousness with thoughts and images of the new reality you wish to create with, “I am statements.” Keeping your affirmations short, positive and in the present tense, you can customize your statements to specific situations and your desires. Try using an action word ending with –ing and a dynamic emotion that is focused on empowerment.

To get started, here’s an example.

“I am happy and grateful that I am living in a beach-side cottage with my family.”

You can see this affirmation started with “I am,” and then continued on to use the emotions “happy and grateful.” It is also in the present tense and uses the word “living,” as an “–ing” action word.

Now, this affirmation may not have come to fruition yet, but by envisioning and repeating it every day, you become empowered and can reap the benefits from this daily ritual to manifest the life of your dreams.

Becoming Empowered with Affirmation Repetition

  • These self-help statements can have a significant impact on your quality of life. With these positive thoughts, you can become more in tune with yourself.
  • The more optimistic you are, the more productive and empowered you will become.
  • With practice comes the awareness of the things that are most important to you, as well as the obstacles you may be facing to become happy.

You may have to reprogram yourself from internal negative affirmations, but by truly being committed to moving forward into channeling positive emotions, you will reap the benefits of affirmation. Remember, self-talk is powerful; stay focused on becoming empowered to put yourself on the positive path towards your dreams.
